Famke Schaap

Senior Stakeholder Manager

Famke is a trade and sustainability professional with a focus on ESG risk and impact in global supply chains.

For the past 10 years, she guided business, governments and stakeholders on the challenges and opportunities of responsible business conduct and responsible sourcing. She worked in the technology, electronics, industrial and mining sectors, as well as agri-food industry.

 

As a Brussels-based expert, she has extensive experience guiding businesses in their responsible sourcing ambitions, including policy and strategy, as well as implementation support to ensure compliance with industry standards and legislation. She brings experience on ESG risk and impact management on human rights, child and forced labour, deforestation, decarbonization, anti-corruption as well as over-all sustainability strategy and reporting.

 

Famke brings +10 years experience in trade and sustainable development, including with UN/ITC, and is equally consulted for guiding stakeholder engagement and collective actions to move beyond-compliance and towards impact programmes.

 

For TDi, Famke will guide implementation of the Coloured Gemstones Working Group (CGWG), a collective initiative of luxury brands and mining companies with a common interest in driving responsible business conduct and catalysing positive change in the responsible sourcing of coloured gemstones.Apart from her Stakeholder Manager role with TDI, Famke continues to conduct research and advisory as independent expert.
