Born in Northern Ireland and based in the Netherlands, Andrew works primarily on ESG risk analysis and due diligence of mineral supply chains, in addition to artisanal and small-scale (ASM) sustainability standards. This work is part of TDi Sustainability’s efforts to build more responsible mineral supply chains.
Andrew has years of experience in the humanitarian and development sector spanning across Jordan, Kenya, Myanmar and the Netherlands. This included working in the Kenyan gold sector with TDi Sustainability’s daughter organisation, The Impact Facility, which aims to empower ASM communities to achieve better social and environmental outcomes. Combining an analytical mindset with experience in project implementation, Andrew is passionate about bridging the gap between well-designed technical products and achieving change on the ground.
Andrew holds an MSc in Physics from Durham University, England and an MSc in Environment and Resource Management from the Free University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
