Alessandra is a sustainability consultant with over 8 years of experience. She is a subject matter expert on responsible sourcing and due diligence, and has managed numerous projects related to the implementation of the OECD Guidance across mineral supply chains. For the Copper Mark, the International Lead Association, the Nickel Institute, and the International Zinc Association, Alessandra led the drafting of the Joint Due Diligence Standard for Copper, Lead, Nickel and Zinc, developed to enable the implementation of the OECD Guidance in the base metals industry, in compliance with the expectations of the LME.
As part of her work with the Coloured Gemstones Working Group, an alliance of leading coloured gemstones mining companies and jewellery brands managed by TDi, Alessandra has developed online digitalised and offline tools for due diligence, to enable step-by-step due diligence implementation for businesses in the coloured gemstones and jewellery industry; and has coordinated the development of a broader learning framework embodied in the Gemstones and Jewellery Community Platform, an educational and capacity building platform design to improve operating and sourcing practices along the supply chain.
Alessandra has conducted assessments for and provided technical assistance to companies against the OECD Guidance and RMI RMAP. She is involved in the management of industry initiatives for different minerals and metals and focused on promoting responsible sourcing and due diligence, including coloured gemstones, molybdenum and lead.
Alessandra holds a M.Sc. in International Development from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (SciencesPo). She is fluent in English and Italian, is proficient in French and Spanish and is currently learning Russian.
