Case Studies

CiPPPA

The Circularity in Primary Pharmaceutical Packaging Accelerator (CiPPPA) is an industry initiative that brings together companies otherwise operating in a competitive environment to address challenges and promote solutions to improve circularity within pharmaceutical packaging. Acting as the Project Management Office for CiPPPA, TDi coordinated the development of this multi-stakeholder initiative, and manages and directs its day-to-day running. This includes communications and outreach, development of legal documentation and agreements, onboarding new members, and coordinating and facilitating the Initiative’s Task Forces.

Lead Battery 360

The International Lead Association (ILA), Battery Council International (BCI), Association of European Automotive and Industrial Battery Manufacturers (EUROBAT) and the Association of Battery Recyclers (ABR) in the United States – came to TDi with a problem that required a solution. We used our extensive research and strategy capabilities to help develop an end-to-end programme that can be adopted across the lead battery supply chain, with a particular focus on manufacturers and recyclers. We completed the project by designing, building and launching a new website to support the initiative.

The Solar Stewardship Initiative is a body of work carried out by TDi Sustainability - one of the world's leading consultancy firms

Solar Stewardship Initiative

Work began on the Solar Stewardship Initiative in February 2021 in partnership with SolarPower Europe and Solar Energy UK. TDi Sustainability was tasked with facilitating the design and implementation of the project – from carrying out the initial research and strategy development, to the creation of standards, a code of conduct, pilot studies, assurance system, grievance mechanisms, website development, and ongoing support. TDi Sustainability is a permanent member of the SSI Secretariat and the SSI is now publicly endorsed by more than 40 solar companies – spanning the full value chain.

Coloured Gemstone Working Group

TDi has managed the Coloured Gemstones Working Group since 2015. This is a joint initiative by Chopard, Gemfields, Kerning, LVMH, the Muzo Companies, Richemont, Swarovski, and Tiffany and Co. The group was formed to better understand the risks and opportunities for positive impact in the sourcing and production of coloured gemstones. In collaboration with CGWG members, TDi developed practical learning and guidance resources for businesses within the gemstone supply chain, including a Community Platform.
