The Coloured Gemstone Working Group (CGWG)

The CGWG unites luxury brands including Tiffany & Co., Swarovski, Richemont, LVMH, Kering and Chopard, and mining companies, with a common interest in catalysing positive change in the responsible sourcing of coloured gemstones. TDI, as technical advisor and facilitator to the Group, has been developing responsible supply chain management tools, educational materials and research pieces to support and inform CGWG members and key actors in the coloured gemstones supply chain, from mine to market, in their effort to build capacity along the entire value chain.

The CGWG framework has been tested with over 80 coloured gemstone businesses of varying sizes and the tools are freely available on the CGWG website.
